DISC SPRINGS are conical in shape, which are most often used as assemblies (packages) composed of a number of springs of the same diameter. They are used for static and unidirectional variable loads. The load is transferred from the outer and inner circumference of the shell, leading to a complex stress state, where the normal bending stresses dominate.
